  Within your business processes, there are certain tasks that occur over and over again. Take document approval, for example, which is one of those typical pieces of logic that can occur in multiple workflows. By using a standard component for that, you can be sure that that task is completed the same way in every app, at every time.

• Data
  Mendix supports both the reuse of a data model and the data itself. You can reuse a data model across apps, keeping different data in each app. It is also possible to reuse both the data model and the data itself. You do the latter through an API, which in turn can be reused.

Efficiency

By working with building blocks, you not only create an implementation accelerator, it also has a beneficial impact on the maintenance of your applications. Of course, this is especially important in larger projects, when there is a whole portfolio of apps. If you set up your environment so that it is as easy to maintain as possible, you create a huge efficiency gain in the lifecycle of your IT management, from conception to implementation and management.
